Why I Started Milner Studio….

Milner Studio came from a desire to simplify my relationship to portraiture.

Over the years, I’ve photographed people in many different contexts, but what I’ve always been drawn to are the simplest things — faces, presence, and the connection between people.

At a certain point, I realized I wanted to create space for that without all the production that often surrounds photography.

No locations to scout.
No elaborate setups.

Just a quiet studio, one light, and the time to really see people.

Milner Studio is an extension of that, a place to make honest, timeless portraits of people and the relationships that matter to them.
